My new EP is finally out. It began as a series of drone improvs and gradually evolved into a set of discrete compositions employing solo piano, sampling and analog sound design techniques, and generally sitting around with headphones on listening to things buzz and pop. All the while, I was being treated for dystonia in my right arm, my family was going through a time of loss, and working on these sounds was keeping me focused and sane.

Hello.. I will soon be releasing my latest composition, "A Sound Found". While I was making it, I recorded a few of the sessions, and thus ending up with a lot of material (aprox 15h) that I will now be sharing.
The complete composition consists of five "chapters" that flow seamlessly between each other... This is the first video where I am working on a transition between the first two chapters..

WARNING: Openly uninformed vile acidic rant about the same old thing ahead.
Yea, we've had this conversation a 1000 times but more than ever I am convinced Facebook not only does not care about music. It gets in the way. After some very focused campaigns to promote albums and events, it just does not work for what I think is a very subtle, yet obvious reason.
Please know, I mean no disrespect to anyone in this *personal* assessment. I do love and value all my friends on Facebook and have a great time networking with people. But that is exactly the problem, I think. We don't find a large audience on Facebook looking for music because Facebook IS the entertainment. It is a Neverland of sorts where everything that happens in the world, good and bad. Is nothing more than a sparkle of magic that gets ohhs and ahhs for 15 seconds, then disappears without a trace. "Look! We're all dancing in rainbows, how can this be bad?"
What's easy to get crossed up on, is when we post our content there. We are reinforcing people to stay on Facebook and wait for more content to come to them. The more they get used to that, the less inclined they are to actually participate in the full experience we are *promoting* in the form of a track, album, radio show, review, etc. For this same reason, I think posting more only encourages indifference. As the content is only seen because of the system. Not due to real interest or engagement in the thing we are presenting.
To me, it feels counter productive to focus on something with low or no results. Moreover, its taking time away from interacting with, while smaller, more focused communities where people are at least willfully engaged with something relative to what I am doing. Add in the fact that you get ZERO support from the search engines when posting on Facebook. A post there is really just a poof of smoke.
I am not looking for the ultimate solution. However, I know I have to cut down on all that Facebook time to focus more on resources that care about what I am doing. Connecting with blogs, radio, podcasts, reviews, shows, compilations, keeping up my own web site, and even listening to music are much better time spent than relentlessly working the streets of Neverland.

a little roughly mixed track from "The Third Circle", one of the most meaningful though in the whole discography...
electro / progressive trance (?) / darkwave / Ars Sonor - music as always quite out-of-the-box
still doing rough vocals, i just don't feel that healed / "happy" to sing properly,
although there is a bit of proper singing on previous recordings.
a bit of background regarding the track - basically i made this track in order to fit lyrics by someone called Linnea.
collaboration didn't work, nothing worked there, mostly my fault because i always "bite back" very hard like a true scorpio...
maybe i was wrong. but... what was done was done.
so i re-recorded the vocals, made my own lyrics, re-arranged the track a bit and here it is.
if i don't "bite" i suffer. but if i "bite" then the law of cause and effect "bites back". same result. same "circle" again.
starting from the same point again.
the theme of "circles" is going through the whole album. there are only two instrumental tracks btw.

again... old stuff, melodies are absent, the recording reminds Scorn a bit.
recorded in extreme circumstances (while being homeless - literally - winter 2012-2013).
