When the Synthstation49 hardware finally is released, the pair are definitely going to be taking the iPad and synth app tools to a new level users and skeptics have been hoping for. SynthStation v2.0 contains the most requested enhancements and capabilities from SynthStation enthusiasts everywhere and is now an even more powerful app for creating music on the go.

Interview: Mark Jenkins Talks Synthesizers, His Origins, And The Making Of The iPad Album

The first time I was made aware of Mark Jenkins music and his massive museum worthy collection of synthesizers was in the February 2000 issue of Keyboard Magazine. They used to run a column called Workspace at the end of every issue during that period of time. Mark with his cheerful, reassuring smile was featured for the Workspace column that month. The article focused on the synths with a few small pictures of Mark with his analog and digital synthesizers including modular and hybrid ones. However that article failed to portray the depth and journey of an artist who had been then as is now active at his game for well over thirty years in the field of Electronic Music as well as Electronic Music magazines and sound design. Mark had been a guitarist for a few months before being turned onto the synth world after hearing Tangerine Dream on the John Peel Show for the first time. He recently gave Synth.me an interview and answered questions about his music life, synthesizers, the making of the World's first iPad album and some of his opinions on the modern day record label. Read on for what we hope is as a rewarding experience for you as we did talking with Mark Jenkins.
