Got an old LCD monitor and MIDI controller laying around? Set up a dedicated rig just for your VST synthesizers. I connected an old 19-inch LCD monitor to my DAW computer and used Vista to configure it as a remote desktop. Next I set up my Novation ReMOTE 25 controller to mange everything and there you have it - My new VST Synth station. It works great. Everything is instantly accessible at any time. Just in from AES 2009 this week in New York City. Korg returns with the Wavedrum Dynamic Percussion Synthesizer. The new model has been streamlined with a low profile plastic case instead of the wood base. Its loaded features like multiple sensors, 200 all new sounds, 36 DSP algorithms, and a tranduscer that senses delicate sounds like tapping and scraping are just few of new things in Wavedrum 2nd generation.
