Here's something quite interesting. Youtube member andrut has posted a video that digitizes a computer program sorting algorithms into sound, what is called "audibilization." In the video, we see animated visualizations that show sets of numbers represented as bars being sorted in concert with the audio tones that is generated. According to the description, the sounds are created by taking the two numbers being compared in each iteration of the sort. The values are then used to modulate two sine waves at corresponding frequencies.
