Check out this demo video by YouTube Member WoodyMonk who was able to connect to another person online to send and receive live MIDI data over the internet using "MidiTangle -- lan midi" to transmit the midi data. The application created by jcFranklin was created to send MIDI over over a local network which can be extended in a peer-to-peer arrangement via a virtual MIDI port driver like MIDIYoke.
